2Stone friends

Artisan pizza & flat bread connoisseurs.

I have been having so much fun with my new 2Stone and I love it. Just a few thoughts and new ideas. First I would like to get your response to the fact that there are no heat warnings on the oven. We live in a litigious society and with 12 warning stickers on a latter there should be one or more on the 2stone. I will be putting one on the back of the oven and on the back of the lid. I was wondering if anyone else has thought of this?

Next I was wondering if anyone has tried adding a smoker to the 2stone? I put some chips in a aluminum pan under the burner and smoked them. when the hickory smoke hit the flame it seam to ad a nice BBQ/hickory taste to the bread. I tried it on some pizza dough, flat bread and tortillas and it works great.

Lastly being a Chef and always thinking of food cost and finding ways to get more for my money ( maybe it is the jew part of me I can not tell). I would like to see if any of you had thought of adding a door to the lid and cooking things in the lid. Well back to the fun talk to you all later.

Hi Jeff,

I would not hesitate to put up a warning sign on the table if you feel you need it. But I would also try to place the oven in a way were it was out of the traffic stream. We are in the process of working on product labels, so it's in the works.

I too played around with the chips, initially that is one of the reasons among others for the opening under the burner. My feeling was that it didn't add that much to the taste, maybe you were using a more flavorful chip.

The top of the oven can be opened from the front, all you would need is a removable handle, since that is one of the hottest places on the oven, a permanent handle would be impractical. But I'm sure you can bake something in the top if you like.

cheers, - Willard
