I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the exact procedure is for refilling propane tanks. I know that a new tank needs to be purged, however on a second filling does the tank bleed valve need to be opened when they refill?

It has been done both ways and it is a bit of a concern for me as to who is doing it right. One way may be unsafe and the other way might be wasting propane.

With the 2stone & other grilling it seems like I am always at the gas station doing a refill.
